Website Privacy Notice

The handling of information supplied here, stated in full rather than summarised.

What This Policy Applies To

Two things are set out below: what cmmcalibrationlouisville.com does with the information it receives, and who is paid when a request is placed. Both cover this website and the requests made through it, and both are stated in full, not summarised.

Current version: 18 October 2026.

Disclosure of the Commercial Arrangement

Two facts belong at the top of this section. cmmcalibrationlouisville.com is a marketing and referral website operated by Louisville CMM Calibration and Repair, and it is not a calibration laboratory: no CMM Calibration and Repair work is carried out by the operator of this site.

What happens instead is that requests are passed to external laboratories. Each of those laboratories holds its own accreditation, operates its own quality management system, and issues its own certificates and reports in its own name. They are chosen against evidence — current accreditation and the scope of it, capability demonstrated for the measurement being requested, and a record of delivery.

For that introduction the operator of this website is paid. The payment may be a referral fee, a fixed fee for the use of this website, or a commission on work that is placed, and two limits on it matter to you: it does not change the price you are quoted, and it gives the operator no role in performing, approving or certifying any measurement. The terms and conditions state the same thing. Disclosed, and not left to be inferred.

What This Website Collects

Two kinds of information are collected.

The first is what you provide with a request:

  • name, company, email address and telephone number
  • the item, the quantity, the measurement points and the tolerances
  • the standard required and the turnaround needed

The second is the ordinary technical information a browser sends — IP address, browser and device type, the referring page, and the pages viewed on this site.

No payment card details are collected through this website.

How Information Is Used

Request detail is used to review the request, to obtain a quotation from a laboratory able to perform the work, and to correspond with you about it — and for nothing else. The technical record is used to keep this site available and secure and to see which pages are used.

Selling this information is not part of the arrangement, and neither is renting it, trading it, or supplying it to a third party for that third party to market from.

Disclosure to Others

The laboratory or laboratories asked to quote or perform the work receive the request detail, and so do the providers who host this site, send its email or run its analytics — all acting on instructions, none permitted to use the information for their own purposes.

Beyond that, disclosure happens only where the law requires it or where an accreditation body exercises a right of access to a performing laboratory's records.

Confidentiality

Drawings, specifications, tolerances, measurement data and results are confidential. The standard applied is the one that applies to accredited laboratory work, and access is restricted to the people who need the material to prepare a quotation or to complete the work.

Where the law requires a disclosure, notice that it has been made is given to you — unless giving that notice is itself prohibited.

Cookies and Analytics

What this site sets is limited to the cookies it needs to function, plus, where analytics is enabled, aggregate counting of visits. Most browsers can block or delete them. The site remains usable if you do, but a form submitted afterwards may not be recorded correctly.

How Long It Is Kept

Nothing is kept indefinitely. Inquiry records are held while they are needed to answer the request and to meet accounting and record-keeping obligations, then deleted or stripped of identifying detail. The performing laboratory retains its own records under its own records policy.

What You Can Request

You may ask what information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, using the contact routes on the contact page. Requests are answered within thirty days. Any marketing email sent carries an unsubscribe link, and an unsubscribe request is honored on receipt.

Changes to This Policy

This statement is revised from time to time, as needed; whatever is published at cmmcalibrationlouisville.com at the time is the version that applies. The laws of Kentucky govern this statement.
